1. Exterior, Exterior, Exterior
First impression is big. If your house's exterior isn't appealing, no one will want to step inside. Project a cozy and inviting feeling by making cost effective improvements that can yield big results. Touch up the paint on front entry portion of the house or replace an old front door with a new entry door (see our exterior door collection here) to make sure it grabs potential buyers' attention.
2. Landscaping
Keep the lawn, hedges and flowers well-maintained. Make sure the landscaping isn't concealing the house.
3. Fresh Interior Paint
Put a fresh coat of pint on the home's interior. Just make sure you choose a conservative and neutral color to avoid off-putting a buyer.
Interior doors can be a cost effective way to update your home in addition to a fresh coat of paint. 4. Flooring
If you have a hardwood floor, have it rebuffed. If you have carpets, have them cleaned. Sometimes, a a little cleaning goes a long way.
Make major repairs before putting your house on the market. Homeowners can scrutinize their homes themselves or bring a home inspector for an evaluation.
Look forward to Part 2 coming later in the week!
